What you get — all free, all on your device

Library & shelves

Organize books on custom shelves. Add by search, ISBN barcode scan, or manually.

Reading sessions & timer

Start a reading session, track time with the built-in timer, and log pages read.

Stats & insights

See your reading pace, pages per day, books per month, and more — every stat included.

Quotes

Save your favorite passages. Use on-device Apple Vision text capture to grab quotes from the page.

Streaks & goals

Set a reading goal and build your streak. Data is stored locally, so your streak never disappears because a server went down.

ISBN barcode scan

Scan a book's barcode with your camera to add it instantly. Uses Apple AVFoundation — entirely on-device.

CSV import & export

Import your book list from a CSV file and export your full library any time. Your data is always portable.

Widgets & Live Activities

Home screen and lock screen widgets show your current read. Live Activities track your active reading session.

iCloud backup

Back up your library to your personal iCloud account. Restore on a new device without creating an account.

Siri shortcut & notifications

Add a Siri shortcut to start a reading session. Get gentle local notifications for your reading reminders.

Share cards

Create visual share cards of your reading progress or favorite quotes to share with friends.

Guides

Private by design

Booklore has no account and no login. Your library — every book, rating, note and reading session — lives on your device, and we operate no server that could hold a copy of it. Your reading is never sold and is never used to build a profile of you. The only network requests are to look up book metadata (Open Library, with Google Books as a fallback), to download cover art — which you can turn off in Settings — and the optional iCloud backup you start yourself, which goes to your own Apple account.
