Reading goals & a streak tracker, built into Booklore

If what you actually want from a book-tracking app is a monthly or yearly page count to hit and a calendar that shows the streak you're protecting, this page is for you. Here is exactly how that works in Booklore, what it costs, and where a dedicated gamified app like Bookly still goes further.

How the goal works

In Settings → Reading Goal, set a target: books per month, books per year, or minutes per day. Booklore tracks progress against whichever goal you pick and shows it on the Insights tab as a simple progress bar — no leaderboard, no badges to unlock, no push notification pressuring you to open the app.

How the streak & calendar work

Every day you log a reading session (start the in-app timer, or add one manually), that day fills in on a calendar heat-map — the same view shown on the app's own screenshots. Missing a day breaks the streak; the app does not retroactively patch gaps. The streak count and the full calendar history live only on your device.

What else feeds a goal without extra typing

Where Booklore is honest about the trade-off

Bookly leans harder into gamification — badges, levels, and social pressure around streaks — and if that's the motivation you need, its own listing is worth a look; the full feature set there sits behind a subscription. Booklore's goal and streak system is plainer by design: a number, a calendar, and nothing synced anywhere, free.

Privacy of your goal data

Your goal setting, daily session log, and streak count are stored only on your iPhone. There is no server of ours that could hold, lose, or leak a copy of your streak. See the privacy policy for the full commitment.
