Is Booklore really free?

Yes. Booklore is free — every feature is included, with nothing locked behind a paid tier or an account.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Booklore has no account system, no login, and no sign-up. You open the app and start using it immediately.

Does Booklore have ads?

This version of Booklore shows no ads. We have stopped promising that it never will, because that is not a promise anyone can honestly make about every future version of a free app. What we do promise permanently is about your data, not the layout of the screen: no server of ours ever holds your library, it is never sold, and it is never used to build a profile of your reading — and that would still be true of a version that did show an ad.

Does my data leave my device?

Your library, reading sessions, stats, quotes, and preferences are stored only on your device. The only network requests Booklore makes are to look up book metadata (from Open Library, with Google Books as a fallback) when you search for a book, to download cover art — which you can turn off entirely in Settings — and the optional iCloud backup you start yourself, which goes to your own Apple account.

Can I import my books from Goodreads?

Yes — Booklore reads the standard Goodreads CSV export directly: shelves (as reading status), ratings, reviews, page counts, and read dates all come across, with duplicate matching by ISBN. See the step-by-step Goodreads import guide. Direct API import is not possible — Goodreads shut down their public API.

Does Booklore work offline?

Yes. Everything except book search and cover downloads works without an internet connection. Your library, reading sessions, timer, stats, streaks, goals, and quotes all work fully offline.

Is there an Android version?

No. Booklore is currently available only on iPhone (iOS 15.0 and later). There is no Android version at this time.

Does Booklore have a subscription that unlocks later?

No. There is no hidden paywall, no trial period, and no premium tier. What you see is what you get — all features, free, permanently.

Does Booklore track me or use analytics?

No. Booklore contains no tracking SDKs, no analytics frameworks, and no telemetry. There is no server receiving data about your usage.

What happens if I delete the app?

Since your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes your library — unless you have exported a CSV backup or enabled iCloud backup in Settings beforehand.

Does Booklore have social features?

No. Booklore is a private, personal tracker. There is no social feed, no followers, no comments, and no community features. You can create visual share cards to share with friends outside the app.
