Effective date: 25 June 2026
Booklore is built to be private by design. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data.
Nothing. Booklore has no account system and no analytics or tracking SDKs. Your library — the books on your shelves, your ratings, reviews, reading progress, goals, and preferences — is stored only on your device.
When you search for a book to add, the text you type is sent to the public Google Books API to look up matching titles, authors, and cover images. This request is made directly from your device, carries no account or identifier from us, and is used only to return book details for your search. We do not log your searches. Google's handling of API requests is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Aside from this lookup, Booklore makes no network requests.
You can export your entire library to a CSV file at any time, and you can delete any book — or your whole library — directly in the app. Nothing is kept on a server because there is no server.
Booklore Plus and the optional tip are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction; Booklore never sees your payment details. Purchase status is stored on your device and restored through your Apple ID.
Booklore does not collect data from anyone, including children, and is suitable for all ages.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
